Siamo molto vicini a Italian Blogs for Darfur. E speriamo da oggi di seguire quotidanamente l'iniziativa, ennesimo sintomo di quanto grande sia il disinteresse dei media verso una realtà che dovrebbe tenerci costantemente con il fiato sospeso....

"Entrando poi nel dettaglio delle dieci crisi umanitarie più ignorate, anche nei nostri TG queste hanno trovato poco spazio:

• 1 ora e 37 minuti al fenomeno AIDS in generale (di cui 1 solo minuto dedicato alla lotta all'AIDS in Africa);
• 1 ora e 24 minuti dedicati alla Somalia (di cui 2 soli minuti sono stati dedicati agli scontri e alle tensioni che affliggono la popolazione civile);
• 48 minuti dedicati alla crisi in Cecenia;
• 28 minuti alla situazione in Colombia;
• 21 minuti ad Haiti, ma solamente al sequestro lampo di una donna di origine italiana;
• 8 minuti alla guerra in Congo;
• 7 minuti alla situazione in Sud Sudan;
• 4 minuti alla guerra in Uganda;
• 0 minuti ai conflitti interreligiosi in India nord-orientale;
• 0 minuti alla situazione in Costa d'Avorio.

Pochissimo spazio è stato inoltre dedicato ad altre gravi crisi umanitarie:
poco più di un'ora alla tragedia del Darfur, dove due milioni di sfollati continuano a vivere in una condizione di estrema precarietà, sottoposte a violenze e tensioni permanenti.
sei minuti all'epidemia di malaria, che ogni anno provoca oltre un milione di morti;
due minuti alla situazione in Angola e a quella in Zimbabwe. "

La Uil è un sindacato che mostra, molto spesso, autonomia di giudizio e di azione rispetto alla propria parte politica naturale. Il centrosinistra.

Non ha sudditanza psicologica, al contrario della Cgil.

E non ha mai agito con finalità antiberlusconiana.

Lo dimostra anche adesso.

Le parole del suo leader, Angeletti sono chiare:

“Non saremo ancella del governo”.

Ma non basta, perché Angeletti non crede alle parole del ministro Padoa Schioppa sui conti pubblici:

“Non siamo al ‘92, è cambiato lo scenario, sono mutati gli obiettivi. Noi siamo convinti che tenere i conti in ordine non è solo una necessità ma un dovere. Noi siamo contrari alla politica dei due tempi. Non si esce dalla crisi prima risanando e poi puntando allo sviluppo. Siamo d’accordo che il debito pubblico sia il vero fardello per il paese ma bisogna abbandonare l’illusione che questo problema si possa risolvere tagliando la spesa pubblica: la politica per lo sviluppo è l’unica strada da seguire”.

L’affondo più forte, però, il leader della Uil lo riserva a quanti si dimostrano intenzionati a cancellare la legge Biagi, poiché sostiene Angeletti le:

“leggi sul mercato del lavoro devono semplicemente essere migliorate e completate”.

E non già abolite!

Sembra di sentir parlare un uomo del centrodestra.

Invece è solo un sindacalista “illuminato”, e che ha a cuore le sorti dei disoccupati.

Diversamente da quanti propongono l’abolizione della legge Biagi!

*For this test, I checked 10,000 words from an English dictionary in Google.cn web search, with Chinese language settings. (The word list consisted of the 10,000 most common words of a dictionary of over 27,000 words.) 901 – 9% – of the words checked returned censored results, with 1 or more sites missing from the top 10 results. I’m defining a result as “censored” whenever Google shows their own censorship disclaimer (“According to local laws and policies some search results are not showing” – it’s in italics below the last result, as seen on a search for e.g. “abreast” at this time). Google’s disclaimer may be inaccurate – this was the case for many censored results in Germany for years, i.e., the disclaimer was missing – but for simplicity’s sake we’ll believe them.

The resulting list of words is neither a complete list of censored search queries search queries resulting in censorship – which is pretty much endless, as words can be combined, and written in different languages – nor is the list in any relation to how common or uncommon a search is, in particular as it’s not a Chinese word list, and in particular as people don’t just enter single-word queries. (But even when we’d have Google’s statistics of the most common searches on Google.cn/ Google.com from China, that list wouldn’t be too meaningful – it won’t list the kind of queries people are too afraid to enter, or don’t enter because they assume censored results anyway, which as we can imagine would be a word list with a higher overlap with censored results.)
Also see a previous test with multi-word queries in the neighborhood of politics. Multi-word queries result in censored results often as well. For example, neither “bird” nor “flu” hit on any censorship individually, but combine them to “bird flu” and sites will be missing in the Google top 10.

Also note that Google censors sites, not words; if the list would be expanded to show not the top 10 but e.g. the top 100 sites for a particular search, the list of self-censored results would be even longer.

Edit: I saw this post being slightly misunderstood in several places so I’m changing the title to clarify the distinction between a word being censored, and the search result for a word being censored. Il voto italiano all’estero è stato palesemente falsato: lo dicono ora anche gli esponenti di sinistra dell’America Latina (Il sindacalista Cgil: «Mi offrirono 10mila schede in bianco»). Lo affermano perchè i candidati da loro sostenuti in America Latina, sono stati lasciati a casa, mentre la vittoria sarebbe stata regalata a candidati di sinistra di area più centrista. Per fare questo, hanno manipolato i voti, hanno ribaltato i risultati, hanno proclamato vincenti i perdenti. Una polemica tutta interna all’area politica di sinistra, panni sporchi che i politici italiani avrebbero voluto nascondere, ma che i sudamericani vogliono lavare. Ci sono registri, filmati, testimonianze.

«Vede, il metodo che hanno usato è stato quello dell’arroganza, del ricatto, anche su questa questione del ministero. Sembrava che se non si nominava Danieli [ La Margherita, ndr.]venisse giù il mondo. Noi abbiamo un altro modo di lavorare», dice Antonio Bruzzese, responsabile dell’INCA CGIL.

Il pensiero non può non correre ai risultati elettorali registrati in territorio nazionale. I pezzi grossi della sinistra italiana, se hanno voluto falsare i risultati degli italiani all’estero per far vincere un candidato di area più centrista (Edoardo Pollastri) rispetto a quell’altro (Mirella Giai), sostenuto dal sindacato, cosa mai potrebbero aver fatto per battere Berlusconi?

Del resto, c’è anche chi pensa che per un supremo fine, ogni mezzo sia buono. Lo credeva anche chi ha ucciso Marco Biagi."
